Yeah that venu isnt a bad spot at all.. Great as far as im concerned... Plus the pit is like the first 15' and the there is plenty of room... I think you may have had 18 too many beer and your brain could not prosses the actual distance. That place kicks ass and 15$ parking thats secure... Thats cheap a hell. Who really complains about $15 parking in toronto for several hours with the knowladge that your car is safe?? Morons thats who...

Internet in Canada is like buy a case of water (24 bottles). You pay X amount for the case but have to return unused water at the end of the month. The store then turn around and sell the unused water back to you. I studied data communication and I sure it cost less that a penny to transmit 1GB of data, especially with fibre. I have a similar problem with these telecom companies charging for incoming call, text messaging and caller ID.

Well the wait was about 10 or 15 mins if I recall correctly and there wasn't that many people waiting for the bus...granted I got onto it at like 10 pm so take that into consideration in terms of volume of people and frequency of bus.

For future reference you can take the TTC 72a Pape from right outside Union to Cherry Street & Commissioners then walk south on Cherry to Polson St and walk down Polson to Sound Academy...its an 8 min walk according to GoogleMaps...I've done it a number of times, it's not great but not terrible. http://goo.gl/maps/hEr7 I actually did it the night before (Thurs) for the Amsterdam Kegger thing.

Although I agree with part of what you're saying, I think you might be missing the point. It's not whether we build intelligent machines, one day that will happen, it's not about building machines with a purpose. I'm talking about that day where a machine has been created that is truly alive (the singularity). The point is life is life no matter what package it comes in and we shouldn't have different rules for one kind of intelligent life over another. That type of tiered system will inevitably lead to war, violence and revolution. One we'd be ill equipped to fight. Respect goes further than oppression.

I think, with Asimov in mind, it all depends on what we build robots for. If we build intelligent machines for war then they will make war. If we make machines for peace, they will make peace. I don't really know if humans will ever be able to build machines with the same nuanced intelligence that took humans millions of years to evolve - and it's still evolving. At current we barely understand how our own minds work so how can we make something similar?

Sorta creepy...if anything they should be putting it on park benches by pools on the top half so when people with a bare back lean against them they'll get the imprint...the placement of the ad on the legs is pretty creepy.
